This is where we bought our Maddy Rose in 2006 and not doing as much research as we should have done. She weighs more than 3 times as much as what they told us she would weigh, which is fine because we love her just the way she is.....she is our baby:) We had no idea that there are so many other piggys out there that need homes and would have gone in that direction had we known. I personally know a lot of people who purchased pigs from Vicky and were told they would weigh a lot less than they grew up to be. Maddy Rose is one of the lucky ones who has a family that loves her no matter what size she is. Unfortunately, many have ended up in Sanctuaries because people expected them to stay very small and just couldn't take care of them when they grew to their normal size. I could say a great deal about the pigs from Barrow's but I adore mine and have no regrets as they are my babies, my kids, my friends, my companions and I adore my girls. One is blind as were all her siblings from uterine infections from inbreeding and no care and I still can see the charred dead and dying pigs in the yard and the field getting no care just suffering immensely, I still smell the charred flesh caring for the ones I took and anything I said would probably get me kicked off but I saw with my own eyes how money can be so very evil!

I have and have had and rehomed so many of those pigs from Vicki's and they are all so inbred.....my very first pig and the love of my life Petunia is almost 13 years and I am about to PTS because she can no longer walk her joints are so bad. I am in agony once again as last year I had to PTS her sister Polly Anna from the very same thing. Please I could tell you horror stories! I am the one who took some of her burned piglets and the horrendous horror of that situation is unfathomable and heartbreaking and I mean HEARTBREAKING!

I purchased two pigs from Vickie 7 years ago and they are right about 85 lbs each. I did alot of research as well and I knew there was always the possibility of them being larger. You MUST watch their diet and feed them the proper foods and plenty of excercise! My pigs are in excellent health and have been since day one. I love both of my oinkers very much! I was very satisfied with Vickie and her facility. Even 7 years later she is always there to answer any questions that I may have and If I were going to purchase another pig I wouldn't have to think twice I'd go right to her.
